Coffee With Composers

Coffee With Composers is a subsidiary of The Flyover New Music Series, a student-run project through the Composition department of the Glenn Korff School of Music in the Hixon-Lied College of Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I host, write, and direct with the Flyover New Music Series as part of my volunteer role as the Content Social Media Manager.

On this episode of Coffee With Composers we interview Christina Ensign, a masters student, music theorist, and clarinet performer. We discuss collegiate education, sleep habits, and dogs--all while trying to hold in laughter.

Getting to chat with Zach in the halls of Westbrook is something I do often, but getting to interview him was a much different story. He was great about keeping the audience in mind, and the way he tells his stories makes me think of a bard (that’s a complement). In this episode we talked about his experiences as a graduate student, his collaborations, and his life growing up.
